New Delhi: A three-year-old child was strangled to death by a neighbor from Preet Vihar area of Delhi. The incident came to light after the accused neighbor's minor was arrested. In this case, it is feared that the accused has sacrificed him to complete the tantric ritual. At the instance of the accused, the body of the child was recovered in two parts from Meerut. The Delhi Police team has got the post-mortem done on Tuesday in Meerut itself. Here, after getting information about the murder of the child, his family members blocked Vikas Marg in Preet Vihar area. The protesting people also pelted stones at the police who reached to open the jam.
According to the police, the deceased child lived with his family in the slums of Chitra Vihar. Apart from the parents, there are two sisters aged seven and five in the family. The child's father drives a rickshaw while the mother works as a house cleaner. In the complaint given to the police on November 30, the family members told that the child was playing outside the house with his sisters on the evening of November 30. After some time, a minor living in the neighborhood reached there and took the child with him on the pretext of getting something. When the child's sister saw the accused, she stopped her brother and asked the minor not to take him away. But the accused told the child to leave the house after getting the thing and took it with him.
After this the child did not return home. After which the relatives started searching for him, after not getting any information about the child, the family gave a complaint to the Preet Vihar police station. The police registered a case of kidnapping and started searching for him. The police raided several places in search of the accused and caught the accused on Monday evening. On interrogation, the accused told that he killed the innocent and threw the dead body in Nangli-Isa village of Incholi. The family members of the child reached Preet Vihar police station late on Tuesday evening.
When they were not given any information about the dead body of the child, the relatives started protesting. While protesting, all the people came on the Vikas Marg. When the police tried to remove the people, people started pelting stones. After interrogating the accused, the police team reached Nangli-Isa village, Incholi in Meerut. Where the Meerut police first recovered the headless torso of the child. When the scope of the investigation was extended, the police also found the head far away from the torso. The animals were scratching him. A hand was also missing from the dead body.
